Pivotal Home Solutions Purchases Eversource Energy’s CT and MA Gas Service Business
 
NAPERVILLE, IL, BOSTON, MA & HARTFORD, CT – Oct. 27, 2015 – Oncourse Home Solutions, a subsidiary of AGL Resources (NYSE: GAS), announced today that it has purchased Eversource Energy’s Connecticut and Massachusetts heating protection plan business. While Eversource will continue delivering natural gas to its 520,000 customers in both states, Oncourse Home Solutions will manage the appliance repair and maintenance contracts for customers enrolled in the programs formerly known as the “Advantage Protection Service Plan” in Connecticut and the “Home Heating Protection Plan” in Massachusetts.

Oncourse Home Solutions offers customized home service plans with an energy efficiency focus to approximately 1.2 million customers in 17 states and has been regularly recognized for its outstanding customer service. These service contracts include repair, maintenance and system leasing plans which protect homeowners from the everyday and often unexpected issues with their appliances, lines and heating systems. This acquisition will expand its footprint in Connecticut and Massachusetts, and will provide customers in these states with access to more products such as line protection plans.

Eversource customers who participate in a current service protection plan will be notified of the change through a bill insert sent with their monthly billing statement. Those customers will also receive a separate letter with information about Oncourse Home Solutions.
